How to synchronize contacts and calandars on Mac using CardDav and CalDav

CardDav (Contact Synchronizing)

CardDav is used to synchronise your Contacts to your Mac.

Step-by-step configuration

1: Open application System Preferences:

2: Click Internet Accounts:

 

3: on right panel, click Add Other Account at the bottom

4: Select Add a CardDAV account in popup window

5: Fill up the form with your server address and email account credential

  • User Name: your full email address
  • Password: password of your email account
  • Server Address: https://mail1.mxs.net.au/SOGo/dav/[your full email address]

 

Be sure to replace [your full email address] with the email address you’re setting the contacts up for.

 

Click Okay.

Done, your contacts will be synchronised to your Mac in the Contacts Application.

 

CalDAV (Calander Synchronizing)

CardDav is used to synchronise your Calendars to iCAL on your Mac.

Step-by-step configuration

1: Open application System Preferences:


2: Click Internet Accounts:

3: on right panel, click Add Other Account at the bottom

4: Select Add a CalDAV account in popup window

5: Fill up the form with your server address and email account credential

    • Account Type: Advanced
    • User Name: your full email address
    • Password: password of your email account
    • Server Address: mail1.mxs.net.au
    • Server Path: /SOGo/dav/[your full email address] Be sure to replace [your full email address] with the email address you’re setting up.
    • Port: 443
    • Use SSL: checked

6: Click Create button to create the account. You can also enable Reminders (task service) if you want.

That’s all.

 

Your calendar will now be synchronised to iCal on your Mac.
